Fundraising

Participating in local school fundraising activities can be a fun and valuable experience for students. In addition to raising money, fundraising can be a creative and collaborative effort of parents, students, teachers and the school community.

Fundraising includes local school or Board-wide activities that generate revenue and/or in-kind resources, such as the sale of products and services, charitable donations, grants and sponsorships. All school-related fundraising activities must be approved by the school principal.

When considering any school-based or board-wide fundraising activity, start here – ±Ê´Ç±ô¾±³¦¾±±ð²õÌý&Ìý±Ê°ù´Ç³¦±ð»å³Ü°ù±ð²õÌý±ô¾±²õ³Ù.

Fundraising proceeds should not be used for expenses required for completion of the curriculum or for capital infrastructure improvements funded through renewal grants from the Ministry of Education. Fundraising is intended to enhance programs and support school initiatives or to support other external causes.

Schools may also choose to fundraise for local school initiatives that enhance programs by utilizing the .
