Welcome to SEAC, an advisory committee legislated by the Ministry of Education and appointed by the Board of Education, to assist the board in understanding the special needs of exceptional children and youth, and to advise the board in matters that apply to the delivery of special education services and programs.
The Ontario Education Act Regulation 464/97 defines the role of SEAC, whose responsibilities are to provide important advice on special education to the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø and to to make recommendations to the board on anything that impacts the establishment, development and delivery of special education programs and services for exceptional pupils of the board. The ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø values the recommendations put forward by SEAC, and takes recommendations under advisement to better support students with special education needs.

SEAC Meetings
SEAC holds monthly meetings in the Boardroom at 5050 Yonge Street, usually running from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Meeting dates are established by the calendar year, in coordination with the Board meeting calendar. All interested parents, guardians and members of the public are invited to attend SEAC meetings.
