As the world around our students continues to change, the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø (³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø) is adapting and innovating to ensure that their learning prepares them to lead the future of Toronto and beyond. In 2024, the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø community came together to embrace opportunities to empower our students through learning, modernization, and compassion.
This year, we created a web-first Annual Report to align with the Multi-Year Strategic Plan, 2024-28 that was launched earlier this year. As part of our efforts to demonstrate our progress, you will see examples of initiatives, programs, and accomplishments that are allowing ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø students to belong, achieve, and thrive in revitalized learning environments.
Learning is not just about what happens in the classroom, so in addition to curricular innovations in math and targeted literacy interventions, you can learn about how we are making sure students feel safe in schools and how staff are innovating their teaching to engage students in developing solutions to real-world problems. We have a lot to be proud of at Canada’s largest school board.
Whether you are a student, parent or caregiver, staff member, or community partner, I want to thank you for your effort and dedication to supporting public education for the students of Toronto. Looking ahead, I am confident that 2025 is sure to bring continued growth as we continue to collaborate, innovate, and commit to ensuring that all students and families in our communities have what they need to achieve and thrive. They deserve nothing less.
Sincerely,
Stacey Zucker
Interim Director of Education
