Continuing the series of reports focused on high school graduation rates and postsecondary transitions, HEQCO has released a new report that looks at COVID’s impact on postsecondary access. Mapping the Impacts of COVID Disruptions on Postsecondary Access in Ontario in COVID School Year 2 (2020-21) finds that in terms of graduation and postsecondary confirmations, outcomes for many students improved in the 2020-21 school year when compared to pre-COVID levels, but there are still areas of concern. For example, students with special education needs experienced greater challenges and will likely require increased supports to reverse this trend.
