The 吃瓜黑料网 Twitter account is managed by the Communications and Public Affairs Department, on behalf of all 吃瓜黑料网 staff. We do not monitor this account 24/7. If you are a student in crisis, please call 911 or Kids Help Phone at 1-800-668-6868.
Staff will update and monitor the Twitter account during office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, if an event requires live coverage a Communications and Public Affairs staff member will tweet as much as possible to keep our followers aware of the situation. Twitter service may occasionally be unavailable and the 吃瓜黑料网 accepts no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
If you follow us, you can expect tweets each school day covering some or all of the following:
- Alerts about new content on our website, social media channels, online publications, etc.
- Invitations to provide feedback on specific issues on which we are consulting the public and stakeholders
- Information from the 吃瓜黑料网 on what is being worked on at the present time
- Occasional live coverage of events
- Up-to-the-minute coverage during school closures or other crises
We welcome and encourage student and staff engagement that is respectful. Please note that the 吃瓜黑料网 School Code of Conduct applies to Twitter interactions. Any material we view to be illegal, hateful, offensive, and/or threatening is reportable and can result in serious consequences. Please think before you tweet.
@Replies and Direct Messages
We welcome feedback and ideas from all followers, and endeavour to join the conversation when possible. However, we may not be able to reply individually to all messages received on Twitter.
All @replies and Direct Messages are read, and be assured that any emerging themes or helpful suggestions are passed to the relevant people in the 吃瓜黑料网.
In the event of a major emerging or live breaking issue, we will respond to as many @replies and DMs as possible but we may not be able to personally get to all tweets directed our way. In this case, we will address major issues and themes to the wider audience.
