In November 2024, former Trustee Rachel Chernos Lin was elected to Toronto City Council, leaving the Trustee seat for 吃瓜黑料网 Ward 11 (Don Valley West) vacant. At the December 11, 2024 Board Meeting, 吃瓜黑料网 Trustees voted to hold a by-election to fill the vacant seat.

Candidate nominations are open from 2 p.m. on Friday, December 13 until Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2 p.m.

Election day is Monday, March 3, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Advance voting takes place Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

During the ward 11 vacancy, Superintendents Cassandra Alviani-Alvarez, Jennifer Chan, Kurt McIntosh and Nadira Persaud are responsible for the following schools.

With respect to Trustee matters, Trustee Farzana Rajwani will oversee the following schools: Fraser Mustard Early Learning Academy, Thorncliffe Park Public School, and Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute. Trustee Shelley Laskin will oversee the remaining schools in Ward 11.
