On April 28 the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø recognizes the annual Workers Day of Mourning in Canada. This day is dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives or suffered injury or illness on the job as a result of a work-related tragedy.

This year brings special meaning as the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø expresses gratitude to all frontline workers in healthcare, transportation, food services, and other service staff – including the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø’s own front line staff members – who are keeping our communities going during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø will recognize this day by lowering the flags at the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø main board office and encouraging those who are able to please pause in silence at 11 a.m. to recognize this national day of mourning.
